CALL FOR PROPOSALS
1. PURPOSE OF THE CHALLENGE?
The challenge focuses on encouraging innovation in ICT among staff and students in the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The objective is to identify national problems and use ICT to solve them.
2. WHO CAN APPLY?
The challenge is limited to staff and students in the faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering. All accepted projects should be supervised by a member of the faculty.
3. HOW TO APPLY?
To apply, candidates shoud submit a project proposal highlighting the following:
i. The problem to be solved
ii. The proposed solution
iii. The benefits of the project to the nation
iv. A proposed budget
v. The contact details of the applicants
The proposal should be signed by a member of the faculty who will serve as the project supervisor. All applications should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, after which a notice of receipt will be sent to the applicants.
4. IMPORTANT DATES
i. Issue Date: 28th November, 2016
ii. Closing Date: 8th January, 2017
iii. Showcasing of completed projects and presentation of awards to best three (3) projects: 9 months from the launch of challenge
5. THE ULTMATE PRIZE
i. The best 10 applications will be supported with a maximum of 2000 GHC for project implementation.
ii. The best 3 projects in the challenge will be given the following:
a. First Prize
b. Second Prize
c. Third Prize
