The Andy Amuna Foundation Presents Laptops and Cash Awards to Scholars

On June 18, 2025, the Andy Amuna Foundation presented laptops and GH₵2,000.00 cash awards to each five continuing scholarship beneficiaries at a brief ceremony held at the Directorate of Student Affairs DoSA. The event honored both academic achievement and the values of community service espoused by the late Andy Amuna, in whose memory the Foundation was founded.

Andy Amuna, a first-class graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from KNUST (2017) and valedictorian of the University of North Carolina, Charlotte (2021), was known for his academic brilliance and unwavering commitment to helping others. Before his passing in 2021, Andy initiated several charitable efforts, including mobilizing his family to build an 80-bed pediatric ward for Bongo District Hospital. The Foundation continues his legacy by supporting underprivileged students through scholarships and practical resources.

The event concluded with a call for students to engage in community service and find ways to give back. Speakers encouraged them to lead small but meaningful initiatives in their communities—honoring Andy not just with words, but with action.

As the Foundation continues to support students across disciplines, its mission remains clear: to make opportunity possible where it once seemed out of reach—and to keep Andy Amuna’s light shining through the lives of those he continues to inspire.
