Job Title: Industrial Liaison Officer

College of Engineering

Job Summary

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Liaison Officer to join our College of Engineering team. The successful candidate will be a key interface between the College and external stakeholders, fostering partnerships, collaborations, and communication.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support student internship recruitment, retention, and placement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, alumni, and external organizations
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration, research, and resource sharing
  • Coordinate events, meetings, student field trips, and visits to promote the College's interests
  • Promote entrepreneurship among students
  • Communicate College news, achievements, and research outcomes to external audiences
  • Work closely with faculty, staff, and students to advance the College's strategic goals through internships and collaborations
  • Build on existing database and communicate with alumni to collaborate on slots for internship placements

 

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (Communications, Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, or related field)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a liaison, communications, or industry relations role
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with the engineering industry and higher education sector (desirable)
  • Ability to utilize relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Excel, human resource databases)
