As part of its 20th Anniversary celebrations, the Department of Petroleum Engineering hosted a highly enriching five-day short course in energy economics led by the esteemed Professor Emeritus Carol A. Dahl from the Colorado School of Mines. The event attracted students and staff alike, eager to benefit from Dr. Dahl’s extensive knowledge and experience in the field. The course was structured in two parts: a virtual session from 5th to 7th June 2024 and an in-person session from 10th to 11th June 2024. This innovative format allowed participants to engage with the material flexibly while also enjoying the opportunity for direct interaction and discussion during the in-person segment.

Professor Dahl, a prominent figure in energy economics, brought a wealth of expertise to the course. Her academic accolades and professional achievements, including her influential publications and role as a senior book review editor for The Energy Journal, ensured attendees received top-tier instruction.
