David Ato Nyansah Hayfron, the talented young scholar who played a pivotal role in Mfantsipim School’s victory at the 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), has embarked on a new chapter in his academic journey. He is now pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
David’s story is one of resilience, determination, and faith. Born and raised in Cape Coast, his academic journey began at M.O.H. Basic School in Korle Bu and continued at Pentecost School in Madina. His time at Mfantsipim School marked a defining moment when he joined the NSMQ team under challenging circumstances. David persevered despite conflicts, intense pressure, and even potential expulsion from the team.
Now at KNUST, David is channeling the same determination and passion into his studies in Computer Engineering. His love for technology and his aspiration to explore software development and innovation make this field a natural choice. Beyond academics, David is also a gifted musician who enjoys playing the keyboard and writing songs.
David encourages and hopes his peers with the following message: “The beginning is rough, but I know that just like NSMQ, God will lead me to a successful degree. Put your trust in God, and don’t worry too much, for God is in control.”
As he embarks on this exciting new chapter, David Ato Hayfron is poised to achieve even greater heights, and the KNUST community is thrilled to have him among its ranks.
