KNUST College of Engineering Innovation Centre Team Set to Pitch at Denmark Technical University

 

On 4th July 2024, the Green Tech Solutions team from the College of Engineering Innovation Centre at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) paid a courtesy call to Prof. Kwabena Biritwum Nyarko, Provost of the College of Engineering. This came after the team was selected to pitch their Smart IoT Irrigation System Project at the “Next Generation Digital Action” initiative organised by the Denmark Technical University.

Prof. Kwabena Biritwum Nyarko congratulated the team for their hard work and dedication to addressing the challenges within Ghana's agricultural sector. He praised their innovative solutions aimed at tackling issues faced by farmers.

The team presented their project to the Provost, explaining their system's operation. This system is designed to provide farmers with critical information to aid in decision-making regarding soil nutrient requirements, pest and disease control, fumigation, irrigation, and the types of crops best suited for their land. 
Prof. Nyarko shared words of encouragement, offering the team his full support and blessing as they prepare for their journey to Denmark. He challenged them to excel and bring home a win at the “Next Generation Digital Action” initiative.
