Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) Network is a UK government funded programme of about 12 Consortium Institutions mainly in the UK and work with about six local partner countries across Africa and Asia including, Ghana. The CCG Network is hosted in Ghana by The Brew-Hammond Energy Centre (TBHEC), KNUST. In Ghana, the CCG Network partners and brings together experts and researchers from institutions, industries, and government sectors for capacity building, and to co-create and undertake collaborative research and advocacy that supports evidence-based decision-making in long term investment into low-emission infrastructure projects in Ghana. The Ghana CCG Network is managed by a team led by Prof Francis Kemausuor and Prof Joseph Oppong Akowuah.
As part of the international activities under the programme for the year in review, an annual general meeting was held for the Consortium Institutions and Partner Countries from the 11th to 13th of September, 2024, at the Louborough London University, UK. Prof. Joseph Oppong Akowuah attended the meeting on behalf of the Ghana CCG Network. He made presentations on Ghana’s CCG Network Country Strategy, provided updates on current activities of the Ghana CCG Network as well as highlighted the recently launched Ghana CCG Network Special Interest Groups (SIG’s).
