College of Engineering KNUST Produces Globally Competitive Graduates

Some KNUST College of Engineering (CoE) Teaching Assistants are in the United States of America on scholarships to read various programmes after completion of their National Service on August 2022. The CoE Alumni gained admission to some of America’s top-ranking Universities to read Masters Degrees and Doctoral Degrees in the following schools:

Georgia Institute of Technology, Johns Hopkins University, Iowa State University, University of Virginia, University of Michigan, Boston University, University of Massachusetts Amherst, Tennessee Technology University, Clemson University, New York University, University of Notre Dame, University of Rochester, Washington University, Louisiana State University, University of Toronto, University of Maryland, Missouri University of Science and Technology.

A section of these former Teaching Assistants paid a courtesy call on the Provost (Prof. Mark Adom-Asamoah) of the College in his office to officially inform him of their admissions before they left the Country. He expressed his joy at the news and wished them well. He eventually bade them farewell with a few nuggets of wisdom. Also present at the meeting was the Vice Dean of Civil and Geo Engineering Faculty (Prof. Kwabena Biritwum Nyarko).
