The KNUST College of Engineering, in collaboration with KNUST Career Services Centre and the KNUST School of Business, hosted a Career Fair at the Great Hall to connect students with industries and bridge the gap between academia and the professional world.

Over 35 leading organisations across diverse sectors participated, including Nestlé Ghana, Huawei, AngloGold Ashanti, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Tullow Oil, GCB Bank, TotalEnergies, StarLife Assurance, Jobberman, Zonda Tech, SMT Services, the British High Commission, and Media General. These companies engaged students through interactive presentations, offering insights into their operations, work culture, and current talent needs.

Representatives highlighted internships, national service placements, graduate training programmes, and full-time employment opportunities. Key themes included the importance of networking, technical and soft skills development, and maintaining a strong work ethic to thrive in the professional world. Industry leaders also motivated students to aim high, reinforcing that with the right mindset and preparation, career aspirations are within reach.

Representing the College of Engineering, the KNUST Engineering Education Project (KEEP) actively engaged students and industry partners through its well-curated booth featuring the Responsible AI Lab (RAIL), the AI for Sustainable Development (AI4SD) project, and the Innovation Centre, which supports student-led incubation and startup development.

Visitors to the booth explored cutting-edge research, postgraduate opportunities, entrepreneurship support, and collaborative projects. The KEEP team also demonstrated how the College equips students to tackle national and global challenges through applied research, industry partnerships, and innovation-driven solutions.

The second day featured pre-scheduled interviews and aptitude tests conducted by participating companies, giving students a direct pathway to advance in recruitment processes. This session provided a practical platform for students to showcase their skills and secure career opportunities.
