The KNUST College of Engineering hosted its 12th Annual Awards Ceremony and Career Fair, themed "Engineering Excellence: Pioneering Paths and Innovations." The event honoured outstanding students and industry partners for their academic brilliance and unwavering support to the College.

In his opening address, Prof. Francis Kemausuor, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering (representing the Provost), highlighted the significance of the awards in recognising top-performing students and fostering industry-academia collaboration.
"The KNUST College of Engineering Awards and Career Fair is not just a celebration of academic achievement—it is a bridge connecting our brightest minds with the industries shaping Ghana’s future," he remarked.
Prof. Kemausuor also highlighted the College of Engineering Endowment Fund, which supports postgraduate education and research, urging alumni and partners to contribute to this visionary initiative.

Ing. Kwabena Bempong, CEO of Associated Consultants Limited and Immediate Past President of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GHIE), delivered an inspiring keynote address. Reflecting on his journey from a science student to a leading engineer, he challenged attendees to redefine engineering excellence with six guiding principles:
- Embrace the ‘Why’ Before the ‘How’ – Understand the purpose behind innovation.
- Cultivate Curiosity & Interdisciplinary Thinking – Learn beyond core disciplines.
- Design with Humanity at the Core – Engineering must serve society.
- Master Adaptability & Lifelong Learning – Continuously evolve with new knowledge.
- Dare to Fail – Excellence comes from resilience, not perfection.
- Communicate & Collaborate – Build diverse teams for groundbreaking solutions.
"The best way to predict the future is to create it," he concluded. "As engineers, you hold the tools to reimagine a better world."

The ceremony recognised excellence across 18 undergraduate programs, with awards in three main categories:
