On the 7th of March 2024 at 7:05 pm GMT, we had an online meeting with Alumni of the College. The essence of the meeting is to continue with communication as has been established, and to provide updates and encourage suggestions and questions from Alumni. We had great participation from Prof. Samuel Frimpong, the Vice Provost for Graduate Education / Professor of Mining and Explosives Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, and Ing. Kwabena Bempong of Associated Consultants Limited, also the president of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE). This is the second online meeting of Alumni with the College. The first meeting was with Alumni in Diaspora, and the engagement was with the Provost of the College. This time round, updates did not only come from the Provost’s office but also from the three Deans of the Faculties in the College. The meeting also did not only involve Alumni in Diaspora but Alumni everywhere. This meeting will be quarterly as requested by Alumni. We look forward to suggestions about the Agenda – pertinent issues you deem worthy of discussion and necessary to move the College forward. We value contributions from Alumni and take them seriously. In other news there is something exciting brewing in July. Anticipate a great meeting of old friends, classmates you haven’t seen for ages, fun games, a walk down memory lane, opportunities to see the vast changes your College has undergone and the greatest opportunity to meet and interact with present students.
