The 1985 – Year Group of Geomatic Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has donated 9 vertical distance measuring instruments (automatic level and leveling staff) and 4 prismatic compasses to their Alma Mata on Wednesday, 27th April 2022.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Year Group, Professor Edward Matthew Osei Jnr, an Associate Professor at the Department of Geomatic Engineering explained that the donation formed part of the Group’s responsibility to give back to the Department that has played a crucial role in shaping their respective careers.

They hoped that the equipment donated would enhance teaching and learning. Also, they want this donation to serve as an encouragement to other Alumni to give back to the Department.

The Pro Vice Chancellor of the KNUST, Professor Ellis Owusu-Dabo expressed his immense gratitude to the Year Group for their kind gesture. He added that management is proud of them and wishes them success in their various fields.

The Donation was received by Prof. Ellis Owusu-Dabo accompanied by Prof. Mark AdomAsamoah, The Provost of Engineering, KNUST, Prof. Jonathan Quaye-Ballard, Head of Department, Geomatic Engineering, Prof. Jerry John Kponyo, Head of the Quality Assurance and Planning Unit of KNUST, Dr. Samuel Osah, Dr. Efiba Vidda Senkyire Kwarteng, Mr. Joseph Bennett Kamkam, Mr. Kwame Obeng and Master John Asamoah Boachie, the President of AGES all from the Department of Geomatic Engineering, KNUST
