The College of Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST) welcomed a delegation from the University of Lille, France, led by Prof. Nil Ozcaglar-Toulouse, the Vice-President in charge of International and European Affairs. The visit, which took place on May 2, 2024, was aimed at exploring potential areas of collaboration and marked a significant step towards fostering international collaboration between the two institutions. 

During the meeting, discussions focused on exploring potential joint research projects and academic partnerships, highlighting the shared commitment of both institutions to enhance global educational ties. The delegation from the University of Lille included distinguished academics such as Prof. Gervais Martial Essama Zoh and Prof. Assi N’Guessan, along with Dr. Joseph Armando Soba, an expert in international development. 

Professor Ozcaglar-Toulouse highlighted the University of Lille's extensive network of 15 faculties and 64 research institutes, underscoring the potential for collaborative research with faculty members at the College of Engineering. This collaboration, he emphasized, would not only enhance the research capabilities of both institutions but also contribute to the global academic community. In response, Professor Kwabena Biritwum Nyarko, Provost of the College of Engineering, shared insights into its achievements and vibrant academic environment across various faculties.
