Dr. Riverson Oppong, previously managing commercial operations at Ghana National Gas, now heads the Association of Oil Marketing Companies. He took over from Kweku Agyeman-Duah, who was the Chief Executive of the Association of Oil Marketing Companies till March 31, 2024.
With extensive experience in the oil and gas sector and a solid educational background, which includes a degree from the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Dr. Oppong brings valuable expertise to his new role. The Association of Oil Marketing Companies plays a crucial role in representing oil businesses in Ghana, advocating for fair policies, and ensuring industry standards. Collaborating with government bodies and regulatory agencies, they focus on issues like fuel quality and safety to benefit both businesses and consumers. Dr. Oppong's prowess displayed in his activites in the Industry and outside the Industry – in the classroom, in Alumni activities promises a leadership drive with positive developments in his new role.
