The Ghana Engineering Students’ Association (GESA) has introduced a bold and refreshing initiative in the College called Miss Ingenia. As the first pageant of its kind within the college, Miss Ingenia was created to celebrate and empower female engineering students by combining technical innovation with self-expression, confidence, and leadership.

Unlike traditional pageants, Miss Ingenia goes beyond aesthetics. The competition is structured to highlight the academic strength, innovation, and leadership potential of its contestants. Each participant is challenged to undertake and present an engineering project, tackling real-life problems with practical, innovative solutions that reflect their training and creativity as future engineers.

Miss Ingenia has proven to be more than just a contest. It is a platform for discovering and amplifying the voices of young women in STEM. With projects spanning topics from sustainability to smart technologies, the contestants have shown that engineering is not confined to the lab, and women have a critical role to play in shaping its future.
