SEED STEM Master’s Conclave: Unlocking Global Opportunities for KNUST Engineering Students

On Friday, 31st January 2025, the SEED STEM Master’s Conclave, organized by GESA-KNUST in collaboration with SEED Global Education, provided an exclusive opportunity for KNUST engineering students aspiring to pursue postgraduate education in STEM in the United States.

The event brought senior delegates from some of the world’s top engineering institutions, including New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering, George Washington University’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

The esteemed delegates included Katherine Hugins, Associate Director of Admissions & International Partnerships, Brianna Ramos, Graduate Recruitment Specialist, and Melissa Terrio, Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions. Their presence and expertise were invaluable in providing students with a deeper understanding of the graduate admissions process.

Students had the rare opportunity to engage in one-on-one discussions with these representatives, gaining valuable insights into graduate admissions, scholarship opportunities, and funding strategies. A major highlight was the comprehensive guidance on crafting competitive applications, covering key elements such as writing compelling personal statements and securing strong recommendation letters. Attendees also received practical advice on securing financial aid, with insights into scholarships, application fee waivers, and funding options to make graduate studies abroad more accessible.
