Ing. Dr. Mrs. Enyonam Kpekpena

Ing. Dr. Mrs. Enyonam Kpekpena is an accomplished engineering and project management professional whose impact spans Ghana’s energy sector, engineering leadership, and STEM advocacy across Africa and beyond. With over twenty-five years of experience, she currently serves as the Executive Director of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) and the substantive General Manager of the ECG Corporate Project Management Office.

She began her education at Tema Parents Association School and continued to Achimota Secondary School, from where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from KNUST in the year 2000.

Dr. Kpekpena’s influence extends globally through her leadership in engineering advocacy. She currently serves as Chair of the Women in Engineering Committee of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), and previously chaired the Women in Engineering Committee of the Federation of African Engineering Organizations (FAEO). She was also inducted into the WIE-FAEO Hall of Fame as one of Africa’s most influential female engineers.

A Fellow of GhIE and certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Ing. Dr. Mrs. Kpekpena has consistently championed mentorship, women’s participation in STEM, and engineering leadership. Her contributions have earned recognition from organizations including USAID, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and the U.S. Embassy in Ghana.
