The main purpose of the visit was to find ways to get students involved in this important event. The VRA team shared that they want students from the College of Engineering to take part by presenting innovative projects, especially those focused on sustainable energy solutions, power systems and related technologies. This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their ideas, research and creativity to industry professionals and other engineers.

The Provost welcomed the idea and was happy to support it. He mentioned that the GESA executives would work closely with the VRA team to help identify and prepare students who have exciting projects to present at the conference.

Everyone is hopeful that this year’s conference will be one of the best yet, with strong student involvement and a focus on future energy solutions. The team also reaffirmed the commitment of the Association of Engineers at VRA to supporting the College of Engineering Endowment Fund to help future engineers in the college.

This visit shows a growing partnership between industry and academia gives students a big chance to connect with professionals, share their work and be inspired to keep innovating for a better energy future.
