The College of Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ATRI Energy to collaborate on Ghana's energy transition and industrial development.
The partnership aims to establish a structured internship programme, joint research, faculty and student exchange, and consultancy services in biofuels, solar energy, and other emerging energy solutions.

Dr. Kwame Sarkodie, Head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering, reaffirmed KNUST's readiness to support ATRI Energy as a local technical and research partner, highlighting the university's multidisciplinary expertise.
ATRI Energy plans to develop biogas solutions to support Ghana's energy transition and enhance energy security. The 24-Hour Economy Secretariat emphasized the importance of linking international investors with local partners like KNUST for technology transfer and capacity building.
The partnership is expected to contribute to Ghana's national development goals and the objectives of the 24-Hour Economy initiative.
