In a proactive step to uphold academic integrity and streamline assessment processes, the KNUST College of Engineering has organised an examination durbar for its staff. The session, led by the College Examination Office, was designed to brief lecturers and support staff on the modalities for the upcoming mid-semester examinations.

Dr Paul Kwadwo Addo, College Registrar, said the primary objective of the durbar was to ensure a synchronised understanding of examination procedures among all invigilators and facilitators. Discussions focused on creating a seamless and fair environment for students by standardising exam conduct across the College.

Representing the Provost, Prof. Emmanuel Asuming Frimpong, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, emphasised the collective responsibility of the staff. "Let us ensure that we are vigilant during the examination so students don’t cheat," he stated. He asked everyone to have the same understanding and be fully prepared to oversee a smooth process.

Addressing common practical challenges, the College Examination Officers, Dr. (Mrs.) Mizpah Ama Dziedzorm Rockson and Dr Frank Ofori Agyemang led an interactive question-and-answer session.

They provided clarity on recurring issues, including the approved types of calculators for exams, protocols for students with missing ID cards, and enforcement of regulations on mobile phones in examination halls.
