Mrs. Ida Saeed is a product of the University of Science and Technology (UST) Primary School, Aburi Girls’ Secondary School, where she received both her “O” level and “A” level Certificates.She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Geography and Sociology and a Master of Business Administration degree (General Management) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Kumasi) and the University of Hull, United Kingdom, respectively. 


Having risen through the ranks from Assistant Registrar to Deputy Registrar, she is currently the College Registrar of the College of Engineering. Being a Fellow, she has served as the Senior Tutor for Africa Hall for two consecutive terms. Mrs. Saeed joined the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, administrative system in 2004. As a professional University Administrator, she has extensive management experience within the administrative machinery of a tertiary academic institution.
As the College Registrar, Mrs. Saeed has a unique role of ensuring that the College is on course to achieve its vision and mission by working under the Provost as the Chief Administrative Officer. 


As Secretary to the College Board and the Chief Administrative Officer, she has contributed to advancing the vision and mission of the College by building upon and creating a responsive administration anchored on good customer service and strict adherence to the University's rules, regulations, policies and procedures.


Strategies adopted to achieve the above have included the submission of papers and memoranda to the College Board for consideration and possible change. She has instituted systematic training in skills required of contemporary administrators to build a capable team equipped with appropriate skills. She is committed to supporting the College through its secretarial and managerial responsibilities and providing sound advice to their respective Department and unit/section leaders.


In her view, the position of College Registrar is based more on proven competencies as a practitioner than any other consideration. It calls for a high level of efficiency, integrity, teamwork, collegiality, tact and diplomacy, a sense of purpose, and a high attention to detail.
