I built Preps AI as a free, web-based study companion to help students turn their own lecture slides, notes, or textbook excerpts into dynamic practice quizzes in seconds. I simply drag and drop my materials into the upload portal, and Prep AI instantly generates a balanced mix of multiple-choice, short-answer, and problem-solving questions that mirror the style of real exams. Whenever any user miss a question, Preps AI provides a clear, step-by-step explanation tied back to the original content so mistakes are instantly understood and corrected. In just two and a half weeks, over 6,000 students have signed up and generated more than 500,000 questions, which has shown me that this tool really meets learners exactly where they need it most.
Rather than overwhelming users with unnecessary complexity, I designed Preps AI to guide revision through adaptive quizzes that start with foundational topics and progressively increase in challenge as performance improves.
The built-in progress dashboard highlights each student’s strongest and weakest areas, helping them focus their study time more effectively. Looking ahead, I’m working on adding collaborative study sessions for real-time group quizzes, offline mobile access for on-the-go review, and gamified achievements to keep motivation high. By turning static notes into active learning experiences, I aim to make exam preparation more engaging, personalized, and efficient than ever before.
