Dr. Paul Kwadwo Addo, the newly appointed Registrar of the KNUST College of Engineering, has officially introduced himself to the College's administrative staff in a meeting that brought together senior, junior, contract, and casual employees.

In his introductory address, Dr Addo emphasised a philosophy of dedicated and purposeful service, encouraging the staff to approach their duties with a profound sense of commitment. He further urged the team to foster a harmonious and respectful working environment, adhering to the established university hierarchy and procedures.

Highlighting the importance of continuous growth, Dr. Addo actively encouraged staff to pursue self-development through available weekend and online programmes. He also emphasised the importance of engaging with the broader academic community by responding to calls for papers and participating in relevant seminars and conferences.

To support these goals, the Registrar announced concrete plans to empower the administrative team. These include organising a specialised workshop on how administrators can successfully apply for academic and professional calls, and the formation of a committee to plan a staff retreat.
Dr. Addo directed everyone to thoroughly review the College’s administrative manual to ensure a clear and shared understanding of its policies. Looking ahead, he announced the introduction of a Performance Management System in January 2026. This system will enable staff to set personal performance targets, which will be reviewed mid-year and at year’s end collaboratively, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

The meeting served as a foundational step towards strengthening the administrative framework of the College under Dr. Addo’s leadership, with a clear focus on professionalism, development, and collaborative success.
